A browser’s identifying user agent string is used to match a visiting browser to one of your browser definitions, based on the visiting browser’s user agent.
To modify a browser’s identifying user agent string, follow these steps:
1. Highlight the browser in the Folder/Browser Window Pane that you wish to modify the identifying user agent string for.
2. Perform one of the following actions:
On the Browsers menu, click User agent
Press CTRL-U
right-click on the folder or browser that you wish to modify the description for, and choose User agent from the popup menu.
3. Enter the new description you wish to assign. To have BrowserHawk accept your change, press the Enter key after you are finished entering the new description. Press the Escape key or the Cancel button to cancel the operation.
Note: All descriptions for browser and folders must be unique within the same BDF.
